Sarah Can You Play Today?

This story is based on the friendship of two young girls, named Katie and Sarah, who met as preschoolers.  At the time Sarah was too medically fragile to attend a school based program.  Katie’s mom, who was Sarah’s adapted physical education teacher, started bringing Katie to Sarah’s house twice a week, so the girls could play together.  The power of play proved effective in many ways and Sarah and Katie’s friendship became as strong as Sarah’s will to do whatever she set her mind to.  Many years have passed since the girls first met and Katie and Sarah attend different schools, but their friendship remains as it was so many years ago.  The lessons learned are lessons for life.  Thank you Sarah, you are an inspiration to us all.
